Empire Builder

In the book Rocket Fuel, Gino Wickman explains that there are 2 different types of people in the world: visionaries and integrators. Visionaries think of the bigger picture. They paint the vision for where they want their lives to go including their business goals and so on. On the other hand, you have an integrator which is that person that makes it happen. Integrators tend to be more technical and hands-on. For example, a visionary person may want to build a website and has an idea of what it should look like. The integrator will execute that idea into existence.

An Empire Builder is both a visionary and an integrator person. As women and especially as moms we have to do it all! We are the ones setting the plans for the week and doing the tasks to make sure everything gets done on time. Being an Empire Builder comes naturally to us because of our existing responsibilities. What does an empire mean to you? It could be you and your family living on a farm or simply you having more disposable income to go shopping whenever you want.

The difference between an Empire Builder and a regular business person is that you go above and beyond! To you, it’s not just about making a quick buck. It’s about building a business that aligns with your core values and your family. You have a passion for helping people with your business. You realize that the real wealth comes from when you step into the highest version of yourself and stop caring about what people think. A goal without a plan is just a wish… so now what?

2 Ways to build an online empire

1. Partner with a brand

This is the easiest way to significantly increase your income and execute what is an empire builder. Examples of this are affiliate marketing, social selling, and network marketing. Partnering with a brand is anything where you sell a company’s products and receive a commission. Sell products that you use and love and the marketing will come naturally to you.

2. Build your own products

This option is initially more challenging and time-consuming, but it will be worthwhile for you and your family. There are limitless ideas on what to sell. Your product could be a membership site, one-on-one coaching, templates, items on Etsy, etc. Having a passion for your products is key when it comes to being an Empire Builder.

Why the Podcast is Called Empire Builder

If you’ve been with me from the beginning then you are aware of the different names this podcast has been called. Initially, I named it “For Me” because I wanted to reach people who are similar to me and not put myself in a corner. After a little while, my vision for this podcast changed and I wanted this to become a whole brand so I called it “Life for Me”. Later on, my husband and I attended a class hosted by Keller Williams where they talked about steps to elevate your business to the moon. At that moment, I realized that I was an Empire builder. I believe in this so much that I even have it tattooed on my wrist!
